On Earth, water is all around us: in the seas, lakes and rivers, but also on mountains and even in the air! Whatever its state, it always metamorphoses following the same cycle. Follow the guide to learn more about the subject.
From the moment it is collected to the moment it is discharged into the natural environment, water follows a long journey. Discover the tap water journey!
To help children understand the importance of water, we sponsor several theatre performances designed for nursery and primary school classes.
These shows, all centered around water, can be hosted in schools under very favourable conditions. In most cases, we cover half of the performance costs. However, this benefit is only available to schools located within the territory of the municipalities supplied by SWDE.

his is the story of Lucette, a tiny drop of water who has encountered a diplodocus, an oil spill, a glass of grenadine, and even trickled across the tip of an otter's nose. Between misty droplets, seas of clouds, waterfall splashes, and the whisper of a spring, storyteller Marie Bylyna shares some of her tales which, through the journey of water, tell us a little about our blue planet. A moment to dream and perhaps imagine new paths for tomorrow.
Target audience: primary school classes (from Year 2 onwards).
SWDE offer: The total cost of the performance is €520 per show. SWDE provides a €260 discount. A reduced rate applies from two consecutive performances in the same school (€420 per performance).

Water Classes are a continuing educational programme and an activity-based learning journey for pupils from Year 2 to Year 6 of primary school. SWDE has been involved in the programme since its creation.
Through fun, water-themed activities and site visits, children develop critical thinking skills and become true “water citizens.”
Children learn about the importance of responsible water management and the impact of our consumption habits on the environment. As water ambassadors, they can in turn raise awareness among their families and communities.
At present, Water Classes welcome pupils and their teachers at dedicated sites:
A team of professional educators also visits schools that are not located near one of these three sites.
The Water Class sites are equipped with educational resources that children use during two full days of activities. Depending on the site or the school's location, field trips are organised to explore water in different environments, such as streams, rivers, water towers, wastewater treatment plants, and lagoon treatment systems.

To boost children’s understanding of water, we have joined forces within Aquawal, to produce a new documentary and several teaching aids.
Presented by Jamy Gourmaud, the well-known host of “It’s Not Rocket Science” (C’est pas sorcier), this documentary retraces the different stages of the water cycle and its journey to the tap.
