Sharing responsibilities

If a tenant leaves a building with unpaid debts, the principle of "non solidarity" prevails. This means that we do not hold the landlord liable, if and only if:

  • ithe landlord sends us the identity of the outgoing and incoming occupants no later than 30 days after the change of occupation of the dwelling, together with the meter reading;
  • each dwelling is equipped with an individual meter, in the case of apartment buildings;
  • the condition of the installation is not the cause of any abnormally high consumption.

In the case of an unoccupied building, the fee and the consumption recorded until the arrival of a new occupant are charged to the landlord.
