Policy for the protection of persons reporting and warning of fraudulent water intakes

"In accordance with the law of 28 November 2022 on the protection of whistleblowers, Société wallonne des eaux ("SWDE") has defined an internal procedure and set up reporting channels guaranteeing the confidentiality of those reporting and alerting to the fraudulent taking of water.

  • To raise an alert concerning the protection of personal data or to obtain information on an alert or a report filed, please contact SWDE at signalement.jur@swde.be
  • To raise an alert about other facts, please contact SWDE at signalement@swde.be

You can make a report or lodge an alert through these channels, but also by telephone or through a face-to-face meeting with the whistleblower protection officer appointed by SWDE (in general) or with a manager in the Legal Department (if your report concerns the protection of personal data or the handling of one of your alerts or reports).

Once you have submitted your alert or report, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt within 7 days. This alert will then be investigated by the relevant SWDE department, which will inform you of the results of the investigation or of any extension to the investigation period within 3 months.

For more information on the legislation applicable to reporting and alerts, please refer to the Act of 28 November 2022, available at the following link: http://www.ejustice.just.fgov.be/eli/loi/2022/11/28/2022042980/justel

As part of the processing of alerts, SWDE will process your personal data in accordance with our Data Protection Policy with regard to alerts. You can consult this policy at any time via the following link .

We invite you to read this Policy carefully and to consult it regularly to keep abreast of any changes that may be made. "
